1) Opening Day!
Round up the family and get out to River Run for your first ski runs of the season. Bonus points for Bloody Mary’s and/or Hot Chocolate after your morning laps. Stay tuned with a conditions report by checking the Sun Valley Resort website.
2) Feasting
Sun Valley has two different options for your holiday meal- the Thanksgiving Buffet & Gretchen’s (visit this link to read more) But in our opinion, when it comes to Thanksgiving, nothing tastes quite like home cooking!
3) A Trip to the Ice Rink
Nothing says holiday cheer like cruising around with the family on an ice rink. Dust off the ol’ skates and take them for a whirl on the outdoor rink in Sun Valley. Or, if the temperatures stay cool enough, head to Christina Potters rink (at Atkinsons Park) where you can skate for free.
4) Football
Watching football, whether you care about the game or not, is a great excuse to relax and kick up your feet while enjoying all of those tasty snacks before the big meal.
5) Family & Friends
Arguably the most important part of Thanksgiving, and what we’re most thankful for, are our family and friends. Anything you can do to spend time with your crew is a recipe for a day well spent.
