Five Ways to Celebrate July 4th!
1. Days of the Old West Parade, 1:30pm in Downtown Hailey – This is everything you want from a small town parade. Homemade floats, fire engines, marching bands…it’s a great time for both kids and adults. Folks tend to start putting their lawn chairs out the day before, so if you want to grab a good spot to watch, make sure to head down early in the day!
2. Riverfest, 1:00pm @ Hop Porter Park in Hailey – Riverfest is a fairly new addition to the July 4th traditions. This year, enjoy live music by Green Mountain Smoke and Dusty and the Drifters while snacking on food and beverages from the Sawtooth Brewery. Lawn games and picnics are encouraged.
3. Sawtooth Rangers 4th of July Rodeo, 7:30pm @ Hailey Rodeo Grounds – What’s more Idaho than a rodeo? Hoot and holler with a night of bull riding, roping, barrel racing, bronco riding, bareback racing, and fun! You can purchase tickets in advance at all Atkinsons’ Markets and the Hailey Chamber of Commerce
4. Music on the Lawn at Redfish, 5pm @ Redfish Lake Lodge – Prefer something a little more relaxed while getting to enjoy stunning views of the Sawtooths? Look no further than Redfish Lake Lodge’s live music concerts. Pack a blanket and chairs for an afternoon of beach fun followed by music from Audio Moonshine.
5. Hailey Fireworks Show, Begins at Dusk in the skies above Hailey – There is no better way to wrap up a July 4th celebration than with some fireworks! Personal fireworks are banned this year, but you can still get your fill by watching this annual spectacle. Fireworks are launched from the area around Wood River High School—the Toe of the Hill Trail or the Hailey Middle School are both great viewing locations!
